Temperature measures average kinetic energy. Heat is the transfer of thermal energy. Chemical energy is stored in chemical bonds (food, batteries). Electrical energy is the movement of electrons. Nuclear energy is stored in the nucleus of atoms (fission splits atoms, fusion combines atoms). Light (radiant) energy is electromagnetic radiation. Sound energy is mechanical waves.
