Curriculum Description: This intensive program explores the diverse and powerful voices of 20th century world literature. Students will study Albert Camus, Gabriel García Márquez, Toni Morrison, Samuel Beckett, J.D. Salinger, Ernest Hemingway, Guy de Maupassant, and George Bernard Shaw, discovering how these writers captured the complexities of modern life across cultures and continents. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of The Modernist Revolution (LT6) or equivalent recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this intensive program, students will be able to identify the major works and authors of 20th century world literature, understand the diversity of literary movements including existentialism, magical realism, and the Theatre of the Absurd, analyze themes of meaning, identity, and society in modern world literature, and appreciate the global reach of 20th century writing.
