Target Audience: Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 students (ages 14-18)

Difficulty Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Curriculum Description: This bootcamp explores the great works and authors of the English literary tradition from the 17th to the 19th century. Students will study Aphra Behn, Daniel Defoe, Jonathan Swift, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Robert Louis Stevenson, Oscar Wilde, and Mary Shelley, discovering how English literature evolved through satire, the novel, and Gothic fiction. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of Foundations of World Literature (LT1) recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this bootcamp, students will be able to identify the major works and authors of English literature, understand the development of the novel as a literary form, analyze satire, Gothic fiction, and social criticism in literature, and appreciate the unique contributions of British writers to world literature.
