Target Audience: Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 students (ages 15-18)

Difficulty Level: Advanced

Curriculum Description: This intensive program explores the great literary traditions of France, Germany, and Italy. Students will study Victor Hugo, Alexandre Dumas, Gustave Flaubert, Charles Baudelaire, Giacomo Leopardi, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, discovering how these European masters shaped romanticism, realism, and modern poetry. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of Foundations of World Literature (LT1) or equivalent recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this intensive program, students will be able to identify the major works and authors of French, German, and Italian literature, understand the development of romanticism, realism, and symbolism in European literature, analyze themes of love, society, and the human condition in European writing, and appreciate the unique contributions of European writers to world literature.
