Target Audience: Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, and Grade 10 students (ages 12-16)

Difficulty Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Curriculum Description: This workshop introduces students to the foundational works of world literature that have shaped Western culture. Students will explore Homer, Dante, Chaucer, Cervantes, Shakespeare, and Milton, learning how these authors defined genres, explored the human condition, and influenced every writer who followed. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: None - perfect for students beginning their literary journey.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this workshop, students will be able to identify the major works and authors of foundational literature, understand key literary genres including epic, tragedy, comedy, and satire, analyze how historical context shapes literature, and appreciate the enduring influence of these classic works.
