Target Audience: Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 students (ages 15-18)

Difficulty Level: Advanced

Curriculum Description: This intensive program explores the towering achievements of Russian literature from the 19th and 20th centuries. Students will study Alexander Pushkin, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Anton Chekhov, Mikhail Bulgakov, and Boris Pasternak, discovering how Russian writers explored the depths of the human soul, the nature of good and evil, and the search for meaning in a turbulent world. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of Foundations of World Literature (LT1) or equivalent recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this intensive program, students will be able to identify the major works and authors of Russian literature, understand the development of the Russian novel and short story, analyze themes of morality, faith, and existential meaning in Russian writing, and appreciate the unique contributions of Russian writers to world literature.
