Target Audience: Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 students (ages 14-18)

Curriculum Description: This bootcamp explores the great epistemological debate of the early modern period: rationalism vs empiricism. Students will study Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Locke, Berkeley, Hume, and the major questions about knowledge, reality, and the mind-body relationship. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of Medieval & Renaissance Philosophy (P4) or equivalent recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this bootcamp, students will be able to explain the core principles of rationalism and empiricism, compare and contrast the ideas of major early modern philosophers, understand the mind-body problem and its implications, and evaluate different theories of knowledge and reality.
