Target Audience: Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12 students (ages 15-18)

Curriculum Description: This intensive program explores the ambitious philosophical systems of German Idealism and the revolutionary ideas of the 19th century. Students will study Kant, Fichte, Schelling, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche, along with the concepts of dialectics, idealism, the will, and existential choice. Each lesson includes interactive activities, podcasts, and quizzes to reinforce learning.

Prerequisites: Completion of Early Modern Philosophy (P5) and Ethics & Moral Philosophy (P6) recommended.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this intensive program, students will be able to explain the major ideas of German Idealism, understand Hegel's dialectical method and philosophy of history, compare the responses of Schopenhauer, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche to the philosophical tradition, and analyze the shift from rationalism to existentialism and beyond.
