🗺️ Fun fact: Bolivia has two capitals: La Paz (administrative capital, where the government works) and Sucre (constitutional capital, where the Supreme Court is located). La Paz is the highest capital city in the world at an elevation of about 11,975 feet (3,650 meters) above sea level. The city is nestled in a canyon created by the Choqueyapu River. The highest commercial airport in the world is El Alto International Airport in La Paz (13,325 feet / 4,058 meters). Visitors often need time to acclimatize to the altitude to avoid altitude sickness (soroche).
