This quiz covers the world's largest coral reef (Great Barrier Reef), iconic landmarks (Uluru), longest river (Murray River), highest peak (Mount Kosciuszko), the Outback, and over 10,000 beaches. Learn about Australia's states, territories, capital Canberra, the Tasmanian wilderness, and the Great Dividing Range. Perfect for students of Oceanian geography and travel enthusiasts.

Australia is both a country and a continent, making it the smallest continent by land area (7.69 million square km / 2.97 million sq mi) and the sixth-largest country in the world.

The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system, stretching over 2,300 km (1,430 miles) along the coast of Queensland. It is visible from space and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Sydney is the capital of Australia, located in the state of New South Wales. It is the country's largest city and home to the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) is a massive sandstone monolith in the Northern Territory, standing 348 meters (1,142 ft) high. It is sacred to the Anangu Aboriginal people and changes color at sunset.

The Murray River is the longest river in Australia, flowing 2,508 km (1,558 mi) from the Australian Alps through New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia to the Southern Ocean.

Tasmania is an island state of Australia, separated from the mainland by the Bass Strait. About 20% of Tasmania is designated as UNESCO World Heritage wilderness, including some of the last temperate rainforests on Earth.

The Outback covers about 70% of Australia's landmass, characterized by arid and semi-arid desert landscapes. It is home to the iconic red kangaroo, dingoes, and the largest known single rock, Mount Augustus (larger than Uluru).

Australia has over 10,000 beaches, more than any other country in the world. It would take about 27 years to visit a different Australian beach each day.

New Zealand is part of the Australian continent and is a state of Australia. Its two main islands, North Island and South Island, are separated by the Cook Strait.

The Great Dividing Range, also known as the Eastern Highlands, is Australia's most significant mountain range, stretching over 3,500 km (2,175 mi) along the entire eastern coast. It contains Mount Kosciuszko, Australia's highest peak (2,228 m / 7,310 ft).
