🚗 Fun fact: The world\’s longest traffic jam occurred in China in 2010 on the Beijing-Tibet Expressway. It lasted 12 days and stretched for 62 miles (100 kilometers)! Thousands of trucks were stuck due to road construction. The jam finally cleared after 12 days. In comparison, the average American spends about 54 hours per year stuck in traffic (the equivalent of a full work week). The most congested city in the world is Istanbul, Turkey, followed by Bogotá, Colombia, and Mexico City. The least congested city is Detroit, Michigan (thanks to the decline of the auto industry and urban planning).
